Children’s Picture Book – “is there something in the Kitchen?”
This experimental picture book tells the story of an absent father from a child’s perspective. One night, a little girl—unaccustomed to her scholar father’s presence—hears someone cooking in the kitchen and is overwhelmed by fear, imagining ghosts or other strange intruders. The narrative unfolds through her vivid inner world, eventually confronting the emotional distance between them. This work explores themes of absence, imagination, and the fragile threads of parent-child relationships.
